New Terrain: bldg.collective Expands To Idaho

Indian Creek Residence, bldg.collective’s first Idaho-based project, is currently under construction.

For the past 14 years, we’ve approached our business with a core set of guiding principles:

  1. Developing unique and custom design solutions should be combined with superior professional service.

  2. Every home should be tailored to the lifestyles and priorities of its inhabitants.

  3. One of the best sources of design inspiration is a property’s unique terrain.

We are thrilled to expand our breadth of tailored design services to new terrains within the Rocky Mountain West—the Sun Valley, Ketchum, and Wood River Valley regions of Idaho. This exciting new endeavor comes on the heels of our co-founder and principal architect Steven Perce’s decision to move to Hailey, Idaho, with his family. Since Steven and his wife, Jen, first traveled to Sun Valley in 2014, they have been drawn to its outdoor-enthusiast lifestyle and tight-knit community feel. They purchased a property in Hailey in 2019 and are currently building a new home that will be completed in early 2024.

The Cedar Heights Residence in Manitou Springs will capture views of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain.

What To Expect From Our New Location

Our satellite office in Idaho will offer the same detail-oriented capabilities as our Boulder headquarters—including custom architectural and interior design that is innovative, energy-efficient and net-zero capable. We’re especially looking forward to introducing bldg.collective’s forward-thinking, site-minded designs to the Sun Valley community.

What’s Next In Colorado

We’re proud to call Boulder our original home and headquarters, and our firm will maintain its strong presence in Colorado. Though bldg.collective was born (and is based) in Boulder, we’ve completed thoughtful projects all over the state. Our full-service design team has had the pleasure of working in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Denver, Summit County, Park County, and many more areas of Colorado. In fact, here’s what’s currently in the works:

  • Cedar Heights Residence: A two-story family home in Manitou Springs that takes advantage of the site’s sloping topography and sweeping views.

  • Ouray Farm: A homestead property in Northern Boulder County that encompasses over 20 original structures set on 160 acres of land.

  • Pleasant Ridge Residence: A Boulder County home with design elements that thread the landscape into the living spaces (e.g. an interior courtyard).

Our team is excited to continue creating thoughtful, modern living solutions for our clients—for 14 more years and beyond. See you in Idaho!
